BGT in PNG

G'day

Just a quick question. I was wondering if you are required to sit a BGT exam in order to operate turbo prop a/c in PNG?

Cheers!

They also recognise NZ BGT as the PNG regs are aligned with the NZ rules.

Was last there 10 years ago for a short time and had a PNG Com number issued then. What exams are required now to revalidate it (or validate an ATPL) for a turbine job? Have plenty of turbine time. Can't get positive responses from the operators contacted, so may have to just front up. But would need to plan for that - there..

Frigatebird,

When I was there about five years ago the Aussie ATPL theory was enough... operators won't tell you now...they will deal with licencing issues when you get up there... let them worry about it.

AQIS, five years ago would have been around the the change over time to the new regs. Did you get your license under the 'new' or 'old' system? What DID work may not necessarily work now.
