Cool Who,s working. ?

Dear Guys @ Gals

No XMAS threads yet , still waiting for the barrage of New Years cheers.
But at chrissy your away from family and friends.
Guess what i,m asking is what motivates you to bypass family to live the Dream.? Surely theres more important things in life.?
Yes i,m a victim too. I,m working. 900 ks from home.
I,m doing it not for my kids, (0), but to get ahead on the mortgage.
As i,ve done for 3 years, via prune, would love to know who,s working and your reasons.?
Thread shortly to be replaced by New Years Cheer. BS.
BAA HUMM BUGG

Regards

Multi

Ps - Fly safe and happy New Year.

I'm working, because I'm on call, because thats what my roster says.

I gave up my christmas/new years/birthdays/weekends/holidays/public holidays 5 years ago. Just another day.

It's just another day of work, in some circles getting harder to get.

Who's working?

Within solely the land, sky and river I can see from our house on the Hudson River...cops, firefighters, EMTs, nurses, ATC, airline pilots, train engineers, bus drivers, tugboat crews, merchant seamen, dispatchers, doctors, road crews, taxi drivers, freelance writers (me) and a thousand other professions.

This silliness about Christmas being a universal holiday affects only a few white-collar trades, some Civil Service drones, and teachers and students.

Get over it. Just about everybody works on "holidays."

I was on call for Christmas Day, and thankfully didn't go anywhere.

Why did I do it? Because on my roster it said I was day bitch, .

And multime, please, learn some grammar.
