New routes for V Australia?

Is it true that V Australia will start flying to places like Brazil and South Africa next year?

Why on earth would you get twin engine aeroplanes then try and fly them between cities that the GCT doesn't cover ETOPS? Why not at least go somewhere where the GCT is within ETOP parameters.

Well a 200ER I belive has a very long range capability, so it could be ok not to go Great Circle and go a longer route that does not require ETOPS.

Like via N.Z., Tahiti, Easter Island, and onto South America, and probably the winds would be more favourable at those latitudes, however, coming back could be a head scratcher.

Just don't come back, stay in Rio. Cheap drinks, Olympics on a few years. Problem solved.
