G2 Upgrade
Does anyone know of a place in SEQ (or near abouts) that does a recommedation & then test for an upgrade from G3 to G2 instructor?
I've called around a bit but not having much luck.
Have been out of the instructing game for a bit but thought I'd renew the rating - may as well do the (long overdue!) upgrade at the same time.

I had a bit of trouble upgrading my instructor rating, as ATO's that can issue and upgrade instructor ratings are few and far between in SEQ. I ended up getting my regular ATO that I used in Melbourne to do mine, as he just so happened to be in QLD at the time. Not sure if you will be able to upgrade to G2 straight up if your rating has lapsed and haven't been issued a G2 previosly, as you need to be recommended by a CFI, usually the one you are/have been working under.
I guess you will need to clarify that with an ATO. I have been out of instructing for a while now, so you will have to search the CASA website for ATO's in the area and give them a call.
