MECIR Hunter Valley
Hi all, I am just enquiring to see if anyone here has had any dealings with Avondale Aviation in obtaining a MECIR ?
I am looking for a good school where solid teaching is practiced and not just a sausage factory like some. Some people recommended me to go there. If you have done your rating there, could you please let me know about the school and or any advice? where do you do your navs? Obviously Willy and Maitland for ILS and NDB/VOR or do you go around touring the state a bit? I am in no hurry to finish my MECIR in a month or so like some courses finish- just want to enjoy it at the same time.
Any constructive info would be appreciated
thanks

You will be in good hands with Avondale and the instructors there are probably more experienced, patient, and knowledgeable than some others around. Teaching is solid and you will get taught quality and accurate multi and instrument techniques.
Can't tell you where their standard navs go but they have been willing to tailor to individual students in the past re touring and training.
If you talk to Tony, tell him that 'one-wing' sent ya!
