Callsign Question

Does anyone know who the callsign "Bluey" belongs to?

Cheers

When we're operating as Polynesian Blue (only on sectors into and out of Samoa) we still use the "Bluebird" callsign. I for one am pretty happy about that as I've only got a small brain and having to remember two callsigns would be a challenge!!

Cheers,

I heard a "bluey" making a position report at FL420 last week, thought it was some sort of military aircraft.

Me too! That is why I asked. Actually mine was at FL410. So what would cause a VB 737 do an international flight? Is it a new aircraft from the states or a charter?

Some Pac Blue flights (all DPS and some NAN) flights are operated by VH registered Pac Blue aircraft and VBA crews. These services use the Bluey call sign.

The 737 ceiling is FL410 - either what you heard was not a 737 or you heard incorrectly
