metro 23 question

Hello guys

I was just curious if anyone know that air national do metro 23 training for non-company pilots? My company is setting up new chart business in korea and we are investigating various training facilities around the world. Obviously to find out the most cost effective but also quality training if we can.

cheers

p.s. Does anyone have or know where I can get Metro 23 POH? My boss would like to pre study the metro before training. Any sort of training material regarding to Metro 23 is appreciated

Thanks

you may try Airwork Flight Operations in Auckland who operate a few metroliners

a few years back they did accept non-company pilots for training

I love it when guys want to "Pre Train" on a transport category aircraft!

Do yourself a favour and read nothing about the aircraft until the ground school.

All you will do is confuse the hell out of yourself and make the ground school harder because of pre conceived ideas about what you have read.

Been there, done that, with The Pencil. And the information overload can render the not so young as the' said-to-be-sharps' reeling off the bench. Spot on 'Two Dogs'.

FWIW I did that with the Metro, 737, and 747 and found it to be a huge advantage.

Kant,

i would suggest you focus on your ATPL's and getting the 1500 hours or so, then look at a metro type rating.
Build some sound multi IFR hours and this will make the transition a lot easier.

All the best with the future and merry xmas
