Save your money and self study. It is not as difficult as everyone tells you it is. Use the money you save to buy yourself a set of Jepps.

AnyGivenSunday99 is right, it's not that bad. Bob Tait's book does well. IREX is just a bunch of rules. Know where to find them & how to interpret them and you're set...just so happens you take the rules into the exam with you.

Any exam is easy as long as you're well prepared. Some prepare better with books, some require classes.

second the first three comments, bob tait and lots and lots of questions to self-test, buy extra questions from one of the commercial services, or approach your school, mine had a big collection of questions that were pretty good..

Same but slightly different here......

What theory examinations have to be passed for a Flight Instructor (grades 1,2 and 3), and is there any on-line resource (or otherwise) with sample questions?
