What is it about the C180/185
It is often said that the 2 blade is faster than a 3 blade install.
In my experience there is 4/5 of 5/8 of FA difference.
I have had 86" and 82" 2 blades, 80" 3 blade (with thin blades) and now 86" 3 blade with the big square blades.
This prop has given me the largest increase in acceleration and climb performance with very little penalty in the cruise. Maybe a couple of knots.
Now strapped on the front of an IO-550, cruise is still very good. refer some figures in previous posts.
ps: This prop is very LOUD on a Zero deg morning.

Df,
SA Gov decided to use their own 206 this year. It was good to have a break from it as well. I think the weather has been fairly ordinary over the last couple months too.
cheers,
185.
