Looking for contacts

Hi everybody

I would like to ask you for some help.
I’m a LAME from Europe with a permanent visa for Australia and want to make the big move.
For that to be successful I need a job. I’m often looking at jobsites like Seek.
I know it’s very hard to find a job when you’re overseas for all the understandable reasons, especially in this downturn.
That’s why I would like some contacts of persons who might be able to help me, e.g. managers on the floor, a HR person dealing with LAME’s, or any other useful person.

Briefly my experience:
11 Years in commercial aviation, hangar and line
B1.1 licence with B737, B757, B767, and MD-11
A3 level experience on A320 and F70/F100
Currently employed with a major European airline

Could anyone inform me about the status and future for LAME’s within various airlines, even foreign airlines or companies like John Holland?
Could anyone get me in contact with persons who could make a difference for me when applying?

Many thanks for all serious replies!

help? not sure if this helps

Hi there, you won't really find many LAME jobs on SEEK but try the link below. Occasionally there are some jobs there

Airline Pilot Jobs & Pilot Employment - Rishworth Aviation Recruitment Specialists

Also, Fridays version of "The Australian" newspaper has an aviation section in it. There is occasionally LAME jobs advertised there. However, I'm not sure if the on-line version has the job ads posted.

alternatively, you can do internet searches of various operators around the country and view their jobs sections.

Hope that helps
Bort.

Thanks for your replies, gents!
I'll sure be looking for the Australian, find out if it's also available online.

I have a regular look at the sites of VB/QF and JF but I'll add Tiger to that as well.

Thanks again, still hoping somebody has a contact for me.....
