hey thats not too bad. i heard fuel there was very expensive. we're paying around $3.60/Gal here for avgas, jet is usually 5-10% less. I guess that would be about $1.25/L Aus. I tohught you guys paid $1.60+ for mogas!

We do in some places, but in general around the capital cities, MOGAS goes for approx A$1.20 per litre (or U$3.30 per US gal) which as I remember, you guys were paying last October.

Avgas get's very expensive in the "bush" however. many places have now had the bowsers removed, leaving only 200l (50 us gal) drum stock available.
Expect to pay up to A$500 per drum in many of these places.

Mate, that was a while back when world oil prices where peaking, we were up to AUD 1.70+ for normal unleaded mogas and the usual 10-20% more for the liter of Avgas, more still away from the centres (I paid a staggering 3.98/l in a community in far NW Oz May last year when prices elsewhere were around the 1.80 mark). Got a lot of businesses to the brink, some over, and hiked up prices of flying training month after month, strangely rental/dual prices haven't come down much..

About $1.90/litre in Broken Hill where the MOBIL delivery truck with the driver dressed in MOBIL shirt and MOBIL trousers will NOT accept a MOBIL carnet card.

Interestingly, at YBAF there's a difference of 10+ cents/liter between the three bowsers offering Avgas that sit less than 50 meters from each other

Based on that last post it shows that you should shop around to get the best price as those bowsers are less than 100 metres apart!
