And I remember back in the very late 90's when the special excise on Avgas was removed and for quite some time it was cheaper than the 91 octane Unleaded for cars!

84cpl to be exact, against 89cpl for unleaded.

As I then had an early model Toyota Celica with a 'somewhat modified' twin cam engine (about three quarter race actually) which ran best on Avgas and I was working at a regional airport, well I was quite happy!

Times change!

It's dropped to $2.07 at YSHT. YTOC was the same last weekend.

Very hard to expect many places to drop their fuel prices with as much fluctuation as car servo's.

Many buy fuel in bulk, paid for at the ruling price of the day.

Until they exhaust the current supply, the ruling price can do what it likes, they still have to sell it based on the price they paid for it.

I think YCEM was 2.20 last weekend

$2-20 at YNRC last Saturday. About the same at YSWH on Sunday. That's if one could get the self serve Air BP bowser to actually work...

YWOL

$2.00 at YWOL.

Comes with a very civilised self-serve bowser complete with normal credit card (not carnet) swiper, printed receipt, electric hose winder and a roof to keep the sun/rain off your noggin!
