Career development and opportunities in the airfrieght industry.

Is the airfreight industry a good way to get some good experience and to develop good skills for ME/IFR operations for the future?

if you can get a job in that industry under the current economic circumstances - YES! unfortunately every freight carrier is downsizing at the moment. singapore airlines have four of their 744 freighters on the fence and are laying off many pilots. here in Oz AaE have fenced their 727 fleet and not replacing them. it's a pretty grim industry at present

AeE 727 was replaced by B737-300. The 727 was sold to an operator who is trying to sell it...

Australia is generally wearing this economic downturn pretty good, compared to others

Perhaps they could sell it off to the guys who run this hotel.
