Coondewanna

Any truth to the rumour that Network has won the YCWA contract? Heard it's going to be a big one.

It depends how you state these things, a bit like politics. Since Coondewanna is merely the airport that serves Area C then there is NO Coondewanna "contract". There is an HWE contract which has just been extended for 4 years with NJS but there are other companies who need to fly staff there and they may well be using other air service providers.

I seem to recall that before the strip was sealed Network and Skippers both flew there.

That's correct, but that was also for HWE, before they went to NJS. The strip was called Area C and latter became known as Coondewanna.

Use to be Metros, Dash 8, Braz, King Air and Connies. Maybe they still all do. Then there are BAE 146 and F100s as the main aircraft. But its an Airport Stranded001, so anything you want can go in there. Prior permission required for all those strips though.

Never having looked at the numbers to know for sure, but Coondewanna also looks like it may be capable of taking a 737.

Anyone know for sure??

Thanks Icarus and witwiw. I was addressing Stranded001. And some people think that that little comma thing isn't important...

Haha comma's, Get's em everytime. I want to invent the next generation fighter jet called the "comma". No one will see them coming and if they do see them they will just fly right over them!

Anyway, Yeah to Monopole's question what would be the biggest plane that could land there?

Grammar correction fail, it's a case of apostrophe fail.

I bet I type faster than you though. And you can still obviously read it, so I guess I win.

Stranded,
That comment was directed at me.

As for you:

it's a case of apostrophe fail.
