Hi,
Has anyone recently studied atpl law using the Trevor thom text book. How does one go about studying for this subject? Any advice would be great.
Thanks,
Mr Goodcat

mate,
wouldn't waste your time with buying someones notes. Just know where to find things... esp relating to multi crew duties etc. MOSTLY it is fairly easy, just be really really familiar with your books, and you should be ok. and FFS, make sure that your publications are up to date!!!

Do a search on here, quite a bit about it in the past.
Its all about finding the stuff!!
Make your own indexs and lots of highlighting.
Make sure to do the online practice exams from AFT(?), at the very end of your study, I found them to be very close to the real ones you get.

I started indexing and then got sick of it.
All you really need is to know where to find stuff, know when you need to reference another document as well, and do as many practice exams as you can so you can practice finding the information under time pressure.

I agree with Truck Driver - AFT Notes are the way to go- infact they are the best for all the ATPL exams and well worth the money! You need to do as many practice questions as you can for this exam and AFT questions are very similar to actual exam and help you get familiar with the CAR's, CAO's etc

I too can recomend AFT, i did the exam today after using there notes and didnt get any questions that refered to sections in the regs that i hadn't already visited before while doing the practice exams. I was also able to answer about 10 questions straight off as they were very simmilar.
Good luck!

Go through as many practise questions as you can - and every time you look up an answer, highlight the important bit of the regulation, order, or AIP that you actually look up. This will save time when you're asked another question on the same thing, because its already highlighted.
Highlight LOTS.
