Engine Out Landing At Weipa Last Night (sat)
Folks, I just heard on the ABC news that an A/C landed at Weipa @ 2200 Local yesterday with an engine out and apparently the 5 pob all ok, thankfully. Does anyone have any reasonable info?

Wouln't have been a nice night to divert into there, with the low developing in the Gulf, the weather would ave been pretty dismal. Current TAF is

probably got away with it because the ground is so soft there at the moment.
lucky they never drowned though........... and thats on the high spots.
certainly a flight I wouldn't have enjoyed being in command of.
pilot must have done a good job if they all walked away.
