Help with some airport codes...
I am in the process of transferring my trusty old excel spreadsheet logbook onto an all singing and dancing logbook for my mac 
One of the features of this logbook is that it can match up airport identifiers with a lat/long and then plot all your flights on Google earth and other places.
In doing so, I have happened across a couple designators as written in my logbook that I cannot remember or are mistaken. I've checked the list in the ERSA and they don't come up. The problem child is in bold....any suggestions?
C210: YPDN-YWDK-YPTN-YHDD-YPDN
C210: YPDN-YOEN-YSUG-YPDN
Mulin - somewhere east of the 'crack... Anyone got a lat/lon?
And where's Wide Bay in FNQ?

This airfield is classified as an Authorised Landing Area (ALA)
YWDK & Mulin doesn't come up, sorry.
Wide Bay is a regional area N of the Sunshine Coast, around Bundy to Gladstone area.
Latitude: S12 16 00.00 Longitude: E133 38 00.00 Magnetic variation: 4.1E

Perhaps you meant to write YWDK in your logbook? Woodycupaldiya is sort of a dog-leg between Darwin and Katherine at 13º 51' S 129º 60' E if that helps.
A possible match for Mulin would be Mulan in WA at 20º 06' S 127º 35' E nearby enough to be sharing the same airstrip as Balgo (Hills) YBGO.
Wide Bay, no idea of airstrips, but look a bit south of Cairns.
Geoscience Australia: Place names of Australia is a great resource for finding clues, as is
Maps - Department of Indigenous Affairs for WA communities.

Yes, South Goomadeer rings a bell now. I only went there the once. I think I flew Telstra or some other (public) utility out there. Looking at it on Google Earth it's in the dry and the edge of the rwy is on fire! Thanks DS
I did go to Woody a few times - that's what YWDK is then. It did not come up in the searches. Thanks Res.
I thought Mulan was further away from Balgo, as I the strip I am chasing is not Balgo. I have a pic with brilliant orange dirt/sand, not the rocks of Balgo.
And disregard wide bay - YWDY should be YWDK.

Knox, I am using Logten Pro from Cordine. It's very good, but its only drawback is it does not support routes at the moment (ie having 1 flight from Darwin - YWDY - YPTN, 2 hrs and recognising YWDY as a landing) - each line has to be a sector in order to get the most out of it, but I am not really overly bothered about that. It's pretty powerful in other (airline) operations, and allows a fair amount of customisation (ie ski landing gear etc) both of which are of more benefit to me now.

G'day Strez, newbie here.
I've been in GA for decades now and have just started in RA with my brother's Savannah. Very different to what I'm used to but aviation none-the-less.
I'm looking to put known Victorian ALA's in my gps for emergency use but can't find a source listing their lat and long. ERSA has lat and long for VFR waypoints but for ALA's ERSA lists only the codes. Can anyone point me in a more promising direction?
And Strez, what is this works airstrip manual you mention?

The hard copy of the AOPA Guide costs 50 bucks. If you are flying bugsmashers in the bush it's the best 50 bucks worth you will ever spend. Whether it's legal or not to fly without it, I no longer carry ERSA as most of what is needed is in the AOPA book and what is not can be worked around with VTC, VNC and a good GPS data base.

Can't help ya with any details about any vic airstrips. Last time I flew in Vic was doing my PPL and CPL training navs out of Parafield in the early 90's. Best to check in the ERSA/Jepps/AOPA.
The 'work airstrip manual' refers to the airstrip guide that the company I work for (and where Stallie used to) put together. It wont be of much benefit for you in Vic as it's WA based with a few from the NT.
