Skydive City Boss still in the POO
THE GEELONG ADVERTISER
Skydive gift fallout

November 21st, 2008
DOZENS of angry Skydive City customers have come forward as part of a Consumer Victoria investigation into the failed Barwon Heads company.
Geelong man Peter Jende has been trying to contact Skydive City boss Luke McWilliam for more than six weeks in a bid to redeem a voucher given to him by his sons for Christmas.
``I started calling six or seven weeks ago and I have been leaving two or three messages a week with absolutely no reply,'' he said.
``We tried to go to where they used to operate from but we had no luck there either.''
Elise Wills received a $380 skydiving voucher from her brother for her 21st in September last year.
``I booked in about eight times and he kept cancelling the day before without giving me a reason,'' she said.
``Eventually, I told him I just wanted my money back and he said yes but then never returned my phone calls.''
After months of no contact, Mr McWilliam promised to refund the money to her brother's account.
``He said it was going to be there the next day but it wasn't and since then, he hasn't bothered to return any of my phone calls,'' she said.
``It's incredibly disappointing. My brother bought it for a special occasion and I just want the money back.''
Mr McWilliam did not return the Geelong Advertiser's calls but has previously said in an email that all voucher holders will be contacted soon.
He wrote that the company was offering customers who paid for their vouchers after December 2005 skydives at Phillip Island between November 11 and February 28 next year.
The company is not taking any new bookings, according to the email.
A Consumer Victoria spokeswoman would not confirm how many complaints about Skydive City had been received but said the investigation was ongoing.
Anyone who has experienced problems with SkyDive City should contact Consumer Affairs Victoria on 1300 558 181.
Apparently documents tendered to the Federal Court show McWilliam is holding $240000.00 in deposits for jumps.
Maybe Consumer Affairs Victoria should start digging.

Lukey baby appears in big trouble this time.
doesn't matter about the APF, they duck for cover at all times with McWilliam and still accept and support him as a reputable operator.
Says a lot for the APF!!!
interesting you can still book and pay on the net for a jump with Skydive City.
Can he and will he supply the goods if I book and pay for a drop?
It would appear not!!!
What about he alledged $240K he is holding in deposits. Who and how many have been ripped off.
This is a good case for Consumer affairs and the Taxation Department.
Good luck Lukey your troubles are not over yet.
A lot more to come. should keep you occupied for at least the next five years.
You should write a book "How to destroy a multi million dollar business by greed and stupidity".

Google ads are beyond our control. Google ads scan each thread for "key words" then posts a related advert. Bit disconcerting recently when Google ads posted an advert for lasers - in a thread about laser attacks on aircraft!

Tail Wheel
Funny I just perused ten other sites and not one ad for skydiving except for here mmm one could become bemused.
Just corrected spelling must get new key board (Or press with vigor)
Tail Wheel you are correct it seems the subject line is the way the adverts get put on, my apologies for doubting.
