Printed DAP East/West

Hi all,
I am about to start my irex and was wondering if casa allow you to take in daps that have been printed off at officeworks or similar.
i have seen it discussed elsewhere in this forum for cao/car etc. but never for the daps.
cant seem to find anything on their website that suggests otherwise.

cheers,
hillroller

Its not CASA that decides. It's the exam supervisor on the day. I took an out of date CAR and CAO into the exam and printed updated copies of the important bits (CAR234 for example) off the net. The supervisor looked at them, I explained, and he was happy. Can't see why OW copy wouldn't be as good for DAPS, so long as it looks like the real thing. It's an enormous amount to download and print. Better to borrow an up to date copy from someone. You are gong to need your own copy eventually so buy it now? That's what I did with DAP E and W.

With all due respect, no, it is CASA that decides. Self-printed copies of the documents are indeed permitted, and any ASL oompaloompa that tries to tell you otherwise should expect a phone call from CASA very soon after you file a complaint.

On the other hand, printing off ALL the DAPs would be far, far more trouble than it is worth, and an officeworks printout of them all would end up costing more than the real ones from Airservices.

Buy your own AIP Book and DAPs (or borrow the DAPs from a friend), but by all means print your own CAR/CAO.
