What's happening at Regional Pacific?

I have noticed recently that Regional Pacific appear to have cut back ops. 2 Bongo's previously on Horn have been parked up @ CNS and now it seems 1 of the Braz's (RPA) has been repainted in an all white scheme. Is it on the way out? Are they just going to operate the 1 Braz (RPX) out of CNS now? What happened to all the runs they were doing (Bamaga,Mt Isa etc)?

Do you mean the Dash 8 operated by Qld Pacific, or the Dash 7 operated for the UN?

There was a Dash 8 in the Skytrans hangar painted in fresh TOLL / PDL colours yesterday. I understand that RPA was holding out for that contract between Darwin and Dili.
With MAC*&%^* now flying or about to start flying to Bamaga I think it will spell the end for RP unless its a helicopter based in another country the Regional aviation group dont seem to want to know about it.

Just have to wait and see I guess. It'd be a shame to lose them out of CNS!

Slight thread drift what's going on with all the aircraft that are parked up near the RP and Troppo's hangar and on the g.a lines. Hard to find places to park most nights! You'd think those aircraft not being used consistently could be moved to the new parking area near the firies as Barrier have done!
Anyway that's my two cents worth

Barrier doing the work out of Horn and Hinterland has picked up Skytrans piston work out of CNS. Westwing doing Troppo's CNS work!

Regional Pacific

I believe that Regional have the contract to operate 2 Braz's out of Dili for the UN. This will be replacing the Dash 7 that is already there. This should be happening around Jan or Feb next year. Skytrans still do the Dash 8 run from Darwin to Dili.

Cheers

A weekly service starting 23rd November.
When I last checked their AOC on the CASA web last week it didn’t list the SAAB as approved to operate to Bamaga only the Metro was.

I thought ****** had got rid of their metro's and even if they still have any left I doubt that they would take 1 into Bamaga. Maybe 3 years gone now but Lockhart River is still fresh in the minds of the locals up that way as the memorial attests at Bamaga Airport.
I'd have thought the SAAB and/or the ATR would be used on this run.

If they don't get the Dili contract, say goodbye to Regional Pacific.
