ATPL Air Law
Can anyone that has recently done ATPL air law confirm that you dont require the CASR 1998 file?
The printout says that only the CARs 1988 are required
Thanks

I advise against following rep's recommendation.
Definitely print off the CAOs and CARs - you can save a lot of money. Especially if you are selective in the CAOs you print, (you do NOT need anything specifically talking about helicopters, airships, balloons or gyroplanes, nor agricultural or instructor ratings,) you can get the whole lot printed at Officeworks or similar stationers for around $100.
Here's a zip file containing ALL the CARs, CAOs, and CASRs. You do not need the CASRs for the exam, so don't print them!

When you do print, give consideration to printing 2-up, where the pages are reduced to A5 size (similar to the AIP Book), and you can fit up to four pages to a single sheet of A4 paper. It makes it a lot lighter, but weigh that up against the smaller size, for ease of reading.
Buy a real AIP Book though. It's way too fiddly to download, and the regular update cycle would make it too much of a headache to maintain. (And if anyone from Airservices' publications section is reading, can we please have a better PDF for the AIP on the internet please?)
Once you've finished with the exam, rather than burning the books, they actually become quite useful as a reference document..
