Mid-air collision near Morabbin, Victoria, Australia

2 Light aircraft have collided in mid air over a dense residential area of Melbourne this afternoon.

The international training pilot flying a Cessna 150 spiraled into a residential backyard, damaging a structure. The pilot did not survive.

The second plane involved in the incident was being flown by a student and instructor, and managed to limp back to the airfield for a landing. The pilots are okay.

No details have yet been released on how the aircraft came into contact.
