Military callsign?

Military callsign?
Can anyone enlighten me to as to what type of aircraft uses the callsign "Mentor"? Heard it on local CTAF about a week ago, but I was unable to get outside to eyeball it. Sounded like an Orion, although my son said he thought it was a Hercules.

G'day Flower,
According to this,
Royal Australian Air Force RAAF Callsigns
it's a Winjeel, but that don't sound right.

The noise was definitely that of four turboprops, so that discounts the Ginweel & a 707! Looks like it might have been a Herc.

Based purely on logic and reasoning it is likely to be a larger aircraft, hence 'mentoring' other aircraft so likely to be 707 or large aircraft. Similar callsign would be Shepard. It would make sense that it was the 707 refueler, however I think that has had it's last flight from memory...?

heard and saw a C130 in the Nowra CCT the other day using callsign "Mentor". Just a thought, mentor might be what they use for training ops - as in the trainee is being "mentored"

Mentor = C130 training sortie.
