First Twin Job
A few of you guys seem to be well entrenched in GA
Im an older pilot 39
Am looking for my first twin job
But am finding hard to get a foot in the door so to speak
Have done time out at Jabiru
Over a 1000 hours total time mainly single
Any advice or suggestions as to who to apply to ?
Am willing to go anywhere
Cheers

Wouldn't touch Air Frontier nowadays! But definately look at Hardys if Darwin is somewhere you're interested in. Above award pay, full-time, clear seniority, consecutive RDOs, large range of well maintained aircraft from C210 to C441 and Metros.
Send me a PM for more info

Did look at hardy's website

I believe Hardys normally want a Baron endorsement.
Having said that, if you're struggling to walk into a twin job, start looking at places with lots of twins but one or two singles as well (not the other way around, if theres lots of singles but one twin, you'll most likely never see it), another few months on a single there and then you're onto twins.

Note you are from Adelaide looking for a first GA job. Adelaide always has been a graveyard for work for new GA guys and many have failed trying to start off there. All I can say is go where others are not prepared to go, that is where the work will be, that is 2000km north of Gepps Cross!.
Good luck guys

Hey guys,
looking to do an initial twin endorsement and thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and try and do it in a Baron. Anyone know a place in Melbourne where this could be done?
Cheers

"Get yourself endorsed on something that is likely to be operated on GA charter ops.
Baron, C310, Aztruck, C402, PA31"
I agree but you will need a few hours under your belt to get a C402 or alike gig and to get endorsed and then find there are no jobs on aircraft of that type is an expensive exercise. Best bet is to have your MECIR done then get on the blower and talk/email/write to operators about a job.
More often than not if you meet their requirements and they want you they will either ask you to get an endorsement on a particular aircraft (money well spent) or offer to endorse you (money saved).
