Strikemaster at Ballarat

Is it true that the Strikemaster at Ballarat lost an undercarriage door when it hit the top wire of the boundary fence on landing over the weekend?

Would be interested to hear the real story - all we have heard is the rumor.

Why is it the single post probationary PPruners that come up with the biggest (and often most scandalous) rumours!

That'd be because, if you or I were to come on here and announce that Regional Express has gone into administration, we'd actually have to justify and back up the claim. First-post wonders can disappear into the ether again.

Thanks for the quick reply Mere Mortal - great to hear from the actual pilot.

What part was untrue - the date or was the gear door just damaged not removed?

Maybe it didn't happen, like the time a few years back when out of date parachutes went to Bridgewater to be repacked, on the quiet. (or so they thought)

Glass houses?

Mere Mortal must of had a real bad day - he is actually a very experienced pilot (and I am not the biggest fan of the company that operates the Strikemaster).

I think that all of us - Courier101 included- should remember that sometimes we all have a bad day!
