Sort of on the same subject- CIR renewal has taken 5 weeks to come through so far. Money got taken straight away and yesterday I even got a receipt for it which is almost a first for CASA. Why not save postage and send them both together? Try sorting those logistics out. 2 things at the one time?? No no, that won't do...

lower;
You didn't fall for my trick of not including (or knowing about) the $25 reprint your license fee did you? Found on the self service website their records had been updated (and obviously it's in the logbook) but if I was waiting for an update in the post.. I'd be waiting a very long time!

Time limit for medicals - 4 weeks

Yep ZFWT - 4 weeks.

I learnt through experience - thought I would get everything in nice and early on my second ever medical a few years ago. When I finally got my new medical I noticed the expiry date was only about 11 months on from the previous one. Huh?? Its somewhere in the regs as I discovered from a rather pompous CASA dude who exposed my ignorance when I phoned to enquire.

And yet every year I have had to call up CASA because my new medical hasnt arrived by a day or two before my expiry date - and this despite the fact that I go see my DAME each year as close as possible to 3 weeks and 6 days prior to my expiry date.

Can't believe how long it took for some of you, just beyond ridiculous...

After reading some of these posts and seeing that the norm waiting time was around 4-6 weeks, you can imagine how surprised I was when I got home yesterday to find an envelope from CASA with my Class 1 certificate after only completing my medicals less than 2 weeks ago

Got my standard class 1 renewal last week, after about 5 or 6 weeks.
