Cessna less nosewheel in YWOL

just riding past the threshold of runway at YWOL, coming back from mac pass, when i spotted a Cessna 152/172 in the grass approx 20 from the sealed surface of the runway, doors open, and its nose buried in the grass. obviously less a nosewheel and with a very bent prop. looks from a passing glance to have landed short.... any news? pilot looked to be healthy waking around the aircraft..

If the pilot was just waking, that explains the landing!

Or, he might have been "waking" over his deceased passenger.
