Ymml Ils Y Ils Z

Ok guys. Don't flame me.
As one who is dusting off the goggles and flying helmet, what is the significance of YMML ILS Y and ILS Z Rwy 16?

In reality, 3/5 of 5/8 of not much.

Bureaucratic horsesh1t I'd say.

A real nonsense like the YMML 16 NDB approach which requires BOL and ROC NDB as well as ML DME. There was a time, before we had people simplify the naming conventions, that this approach was called a "twin NDB DME" approach.

We must never lose sight of the fact that this is to make things easier for us as the "users".

Believe that and you'll believe anything.

what, so now you can choose from ML DME, ILS DME, Marker beacons, GPS is lieu... man it seems like a bit of an overkill to me.
