Just wondering why it zoomed overhead. Is there an airshow on up north at the moment or one has just been? The sound of it approaching was quite impressive and distinctively the Cat.

Just wondering what you are doing in Kununurra?

Thought you were at work in Melbourne, or is someone paying for you to have a holiday up there!

If Felix the HARS Cat was there at Kunanurra, it must have been some kind of vision.
I saw her at IRA last saturday and she was missing the L/H engine and has a hole on the L/H rear side due to refitting of the blisters. I don't think Felix is due to fly again for some time.
She doesn't zoom, just a vigorous stagger.

The other Orstralyin Cat is still laid up in Portugal -

Either XXX is halucinating or some foreigner has slipped through unnoticed by the Catalina tragics and their usually thorough spy network.

Hmmm... interesting......

Perhaps I shouldn't have said HARS, perhaps (quite obviously it wasn't then, I just assumed).

I would love to know where on earth (literally) it came from then!

Or if someone has a suitable explanation as to what it may have been.

Certainly wasn't HARS Black Cat. I was standing under the wing sheltering from the rain last night, at IRA.

Still missing one engine, tarp over the cockpit and rear fuse.

I'm willing to accept that it may have been the Mallard. Somewhat similar and from underneath many aircraft look black.
