Qantas S/O to F/O in 18 months
It was true in 2001-2003, even with Sept 11th and SARs. Sometimes its up to the person, I know guys who have were SO's for twelve months and now been FO for five years while there mates are still SO because they havent wanted to upgrade, after all its all about "Choice".
