OCTA - nothing to do with TD mate - he is 12,000 miles away and has never had anything to do with the company in question.

If they are as shaky as the jungle drums indicate then that is big news. That'd be 4 regionals in 18 months. Transair, O'Connors, Jetcraft and then Mackair.

Are they not expanding SW QLD operations and replacing the metros with saabs?

However, isn't another issue a lack of check and training captains. Pilots are being accepted for ground school but are waiting months and months for it to commence.

Seems as though only one person on this thread has read the press release stating the phasing out of the Metros from this particular airline. Ah rumours don't you love 'em.

Search as I may, the press release is elusive.

Replacing metros with Saabs is mentioned in a couple of press releases on their website. It's been mentioned elsewhere around the traps, but I can't find any hard evidence.

That's right, and a larger S/E operator is going back to QLD in September! Pigs may fly.

From what I hear a media release doesn't explain this one at all. There are very ugly stories coming out of NQ.

Smokinghole - I sent you a PM. I am sure about TD - he can't be blamed for this one.

Lets hope the rumoured bail out packages on the table are successful.

I heard today that things are not looking rosy for the guys and gals of ****** .. maybe as early as sometime next week another operator will have to step in at short notice.

The shambolic sound of the chickens coming home to roost perhaps?

P.S. Rumour true or not = irrelevant; that mob could not organise a root in a house full of whores!

What happened to the thread about the company in question possibly being in voluntary administration?

My April Fools Day 'joke' about Rex being in administration was wiped quickly, now this post about another operator in trouble has been removed too. Is administration a taboo subject, or just maciar?

If a company isn't in administration, then Prune would probably be left with little choice but to remove a thread stating the opposite, regardless of the operator.

Too true Dashy !

Of course when the 'administration' rumour is found to be in fact the case, the PPRuNe admin/mod whoever will reinstate the removed thread won't they !

Yeah Right......................
