Very interesting as it would have been with the new engine in it, I wasn't aware that they had it back in the air after being down for an engine overhaul as per Trojans post. Anyone with more info on TKV?

grub screw the blocks the turbocharger oil feed had come loose causing the engine to lose oil pressure.
Umm...Like to check that? Never actually heard of a turbocharger on a Pitts!?!

Umm, I'm no engine guru wiz, but that is exactly why it is BLOCKED OFF no? Un-used oil gallery tapping.

Two miles and 3000ft AGL might get you in to the field. Doesn't sound like it was the case anyway. Thumbs up for the safe landing..

Back to the original post - fatal at Camden - sad news indeed. Anybody know what went wrong?

Final report here. Appears the fatality was most likely caused by a "cardiac event"
