Just wondering if anybody knows why Airnorth is pulling out of this service.

I was thinking not enough customers or possibly politics at Merpati, maybe?

I have to agree with Tinny.......... I was unfortunate enough to spend a few days there during a ferry once. the beer was hot, and the fee's for everything expensive (even though I managed to get everything for half of what the initial charge was, due to being an indonesian speaking, big, cranky guy who was outraged at them trying to rip of the white guy).
I left there so hung over the next leg of the trip only made it to the Flores Islands...... Much nicer part of the world.

Have been ther myself when passing through, also on a ferry and have to agree with above, can't imagime any other reason to go there. I do recall that the tucker was OK and some of the girls not too terrible on the eyes, and I have been to worse (much worse) places, but I can say that Ramadan is a very bad time to try to get any kind of service anywhere in Indo. I overfly these days, it's worth the bigger fuel tanks.

!!!!! NO CREW !!!!!

Airnorth are just starting to do what the others are doing. Cutting lean routes off the schedule due to no crew!!
