Question Skywest Recruitment...

Does anyone have any thoughts/experience on the positons being offered by Skywest at the moment? Having been out of the industry for some years I would like to know the current state of staff morale...are they looking after their people? How pressing is there need to fill positions? ie are they desperate enough to consider someone 15hours short of their Multi requirements...(And before a bright spark comes up with it - I dont have 4 grand to spend on flying at the moment and I dont like the idea of misleading an employer just to get 15 hours multi) - Thanks

I am not a pilot but am led to believe they will look at you. The problem they have got is that basically they are expanding rapidly and are struggling to cope from what I have heard from sources in Perth. Whether they look after their staff or not I guess you will have to hope some post on here and are honest. It sounds as if they are blinkered a little bit regarding resources sector and without any competition on domestic WA routes are letting things slip. Thanks largely I am led to believe to Aero care.

Cant say i know much about recruitment and conditions either... but you had better like break downs, cos ive seen many a Fokker parked up after something had shat itself before or after landing.

Wages for the pilots must be AWESOME too... cos the airfares are certainly making up for something... though that may be for the extra maintenance and the costs to fly LAMEs from one end of WA to the other in a Conquest to fix their a/c
