For Captains, SAPL have announced retention bonuses over 3 years of 50, 50 and 100K = 200K to remain for 3 years.
120K for FOs.
300K for C&Ters.
Unless things change in a big way these bonuses will remain in place beyond 2011.
The full bonuses are paid to those who live in a base (Darwin, Cairns) - for those on FIFO the bonus will be reduced to offset FIFO costs.

Now now Diver, your showing your green side.
Green Grilla, correct me if I am wrong. You work for Aero rescue spending the majority of your time waiting, waiting waiting?? Surely that is the definition of mind numbing??

Does anyone in here actually fly for SAPL?
Would be keen to have a look at it closer, airline flying isn't all it's cracked up to be I reckon. Might be interesting to actually fly rather than 'shark spot' up & down the east coast!

Do around 300 hrs a year all at low altitude like SA but we dont go to the same spot twice not like SA same tracks all the time no comparison to the two jobs thats why an Aerorecue and SA exist different roles.

actually all of our flight routes are not exactly the same, the new contract has bought about some decent changes to our flights. Yes we still go to the same areas out there because they have to be covered and someone down south decides a certain spot is a higher risk etc and although they are all between 5-7 hr flights they are all diferent
p.s. PBE's are supplied free of charge
