You state clearly that they have no ETOPS experience. Your source of information has kept you VERY poorly informed. Both these pilots have more ETOPS experience than would be required by any Company involved in ETOPS operations.
Why are you guys making such a federal case out of ETOPs? It's a piece of p!ss. You check the weather along the way (on the ACARS), reference against the ETOPs mins, make sure everything is working that needs to be working and off you go. Big fwcking deal. You can sleep through it.

On the 777 you don't even need the APU running. What are you all on about...????? "ETOPs experience" 10000hrs or 10hrs, who gives a flog as long as you know what you're talking about... It isn't brain-surgery.

Hi Guys,
I've also applied for Cruise Pilot position. Received an email stating that they have invited applicants for the cruise pilot position.etc.. I'm currently away from home and would like to know if the guys received their notification by letter or email?

Cheers.

Given you would be operating one of the longest ETOP routes in the world I think you will find that CASA would be all over you about ETOPS experience. Won't matter as much once everything is sorted out but as a startup I think you will find they will be requiring it.
