Angel QCCA worry wart

To anyone out there is has signed up for QCCA and is willing to give the facts rather than rumour, I need your help.
Looks like I might, just might get given a chance join. However, I need to know some facts about the reality of the allowances and real expected income before i sign. would love to do the flying but worried about things like mortgage repayments etc. If there is anyone out there that can be more precise than rumour I need your help. I have read EBA8 but need to know how much we get on meal allowances etc. Any idea about what MEL base will offer as far as routes etc too. Would love to hear from anyone that went from MAM to QCCA too.

If you are looking at basing living expenses on the allowances [expected?] by crew operating out of the MEL base I would be very careful.

Crew rostering patterns change from bid period to bid period and these determine where and for how long you will slip.

MEL has traditionally been the base with the least stability. What is true now, you can almost guarantee will be different next roster.

It is very unwise to include allowances in your calculations about whether you can meet your financial commitments.
In the Melbourne base, it is not unusual to have a roster full of perth day trips = no cash meal allowances at all, and very little , if any overtime.
As speedbird says, things change all the time, but you really need to base your estimates on the most conservative figure, and then anything else will be a bonus.
