VB Engines
Does anyone out there know when the VB engines will start to come up with major OH? Rumour has it that VB don't have any spares, and the engines will come up quickly.

There is one spare CFM56 in VB's inventory, in addition to any hanging from the wings of whichever Boeing happens to be in maintenance at the time.
Fortunately for an operator like VB with a varying fleet an engine can be installed at any thrust rating from 18.5 to 27.4 thousand pounds. VB use 20, 22, 24 and 26k ratings.

Last I checked.
There could be rotation engines from GE or lessors passing through, but I understand the number of engines VB owns is just one more than the number of wings to hang them on.
To complicate things, I don't think the same spare can power the E170 and E190, so 2 spare engines may be required for that fleet.
