Devil Qantas LAME Exodus?

Is it true that Qantas is advertising for LAME's due to the exodus to JH?

Now i find it hard to believe any QF LAMEs would leave to join JHAS. Most of QFs LAMEs are career people who would never think of leaving the security of the Flying Kangaroo, to find a job in the real world. They might have to work for a living and earn promotions on merit rather than relationships.
The only reason they would leave is because they are being pushed or are too weak to stand up and fight in this EBA.
JHAS will have to be careful in who they take on as well.
From all reports it is a good company that doesn't need the festering, non trust worthy QF mentality so many would bring with them.

No shortage of mechanical LAME's have left QF tulla in the last eight months to join JHAS

As I have said in another thread, the JHAS package for the Avionics types has stirred a little interest but, has not YET resulted in any Avionics guys bolting QF.

Still love to hear from anybody who has recently joined JHAS to give their impressions of the place. Is it the best move they've made? Or is it just the lesser of two evils ?

You are full of cr@p, MOST are working their buts off to make the rundown system work on a daily basis. Personal sacrifice every day to try to get them out on time, all while management are scheming ways to shaft us. Then there are idiots like you who just want to sitr the pot for management.

Enough of the name calling

Come on Short Circuit enough of the name calling. FYI I left QF on my own accord, I was offered the scab money but I wouldn't do that. Even after the ACS LAMEs didn't support us HM LAMEs in our hour of need.
If you think some of the QF LAMEs would make it in the real world of aviation I think you are mistaken. Too many would leave the company with a chip on there shoulder thinking the world owes them big time.
A lot of employers don't want that in there organisation

Short_circuit you are dreaming. In 4.5 years I haven't seen a QF LAME lift more than a finger to work. Let alone on a daily basis. The first problem you have is QFM already have a plan.....You will be outsourced. The second is JHAS will strictly vet the LAME selection process so as not to get shortsighted dreamers from the colapsed QF Engineering.

Smile Dreamers

We will see who is dreaming and who will not on monday hold onto your seats its going to be great.just wondering do you become less of a Lame just because you leave QF?you would think so reading some of the crap on here.Wake up to yourselves there is life after Qantas and its not all bad.some of us who have already been on the outside, gone to the palace of fun and now on the outer will always survive regardless of what you QF queen bees might think. If you dont like whats happening at QF and your that great should be no problem for you all,but me thinks your too scared to leave the QF comfort blanket.Good on the guys who have left and good wishes to our mates left at QF.All Lames have things to offer whether at QF or elsewhere. There i got that off my chest Cheers.

Well aside from a couple of occasions during my few years there, QF is the most boring, un-interactive, mindless, thank-less, monkey-dump ive ever worked. I certainly hope you get some job-satisfaction out of the work you do for those wankers.....I know I never did. Plus I never got (or witnessed anyone getting) any sort of appreciation for the effort they did give. The whole place seems geared towards de-moralising the workforce intro mindless drones that can be controlled by remote.
A Case in point: I flew MEL-SYD the other day, when the crapy biscuit and pretzels were chucked out the guy next to me was asleep and missed the service by one row. He awoke to the sounds of disappointment (as people opened there crap bag) and imediately leaned towards the trolley-dolly (who had only moved 1 row down) and asked for his crap-bag. She barked in return GET THE NEXT TYROLLEY!! 5mins later (when the next trollety arrived) It was the drinks trolley. THEN....Top of decent....TOO LATE.

Worst service ive ever seen. Case closed

If you hate them so much why do you fly with them? And what's it got to do with a LAME exodus?

I did as (at the time) I wasn't given a choice. I've changed that now, so VB here I come. Someone please start a real airline in OZ, you'll **** all over QF without much effort at all.

As JHAS are not quite there with the right wages to attract the numbers they need......I can say (from this and talking to guys there) that they leave QF and VB for the job-satisfaction and respect. Not the cash at this stage. My point: The LAME exodus from QF will only increase as JHAS gain contracts and wages are increased to attract LAME talent.
