I can't remember what their wing spar life is, MMY's time was up years ago, late 1970 or early 80's, ended up against a fence at Bankstown.
Maybe they can do a mod or respar them, would imagine it would be $$$$$$$$$$$.

TZL was a pig to fly, wonder if its any better now.

I think TZL started life as a 100, i.e. short nose, it was worse than other 100's or 200's.

Where the Aeropelican C402A's yellow and white and did they operate ELU and ELV?
Does anyone remember a RPT operator called Nationwide Air Services from the mid 1970's?

No and No.

See the pic on page 3 of a 402. The 402's were MWF, MWE, EVF, ROX, ELT, UBZ, CKU.

Aeropelican became part of Ansett in July 1981 when 80% of owner Masling Commuter Services was purchased by TNT - News subsidiary Bodas Pty Ltd.

Did the Aeropelican guys get a seniority number in Ansett when they got bought by Bodas?
Where the Twin Otters always operated two crew, or did that only come into effect after the Kingair accident at Sydney in 1982?

I wonder if Bill Davey is still alive?
He was living on the central coast NSW last time I saw him around 1990.
I met Bill about 3 years ago and he was living up around Caloundra area (from memory). A pleasure to meet and talk with him.

Yes

No in the early days they were single pilot. The regs requireda "radio operator" if the autopilot was unserviceable, and memories fading however i think if there were more than 15pax?
Aeropelican used carry one most of the time, until they required two pilots in 1984 I think.
