Have a read of some of the Fragrant Harbour forums regarding CX.
Times have changed at Cathay Pacific. A lot of CX pilots have their exit strategies in place. Do your research thoroughly before accepting a job here. You may not want to go rushing to Hong Kong after all.
Ask some questions at the interview such as:
what is the expected time to command? (Answer 13yrs +)
what are the chances of getting a command on a base with RA65? (Zero)
why are S/O's being delayed for JFO upgrades in favour of DEFO's?
Lots of better options closer to home at the moment.
