Gday,
got a mate whose wife just gave him the go ahead to totally change career and learn to fly. Their second baby is on the way and he wants to knock it all out fast (the flying that is).
I would have sent him to the flight school I went to but due to the the school closing as the owner died that avenue is closed.
Family reasons leave him in either Brisbane area or Adelaide. What are the suggestions? Pro's and Con's? Why you would or wouldn't go there and or people to go to or avoid.
He is looking to start within weeks.
Thanks for your comments.

Hey sounds like your mate got pretty lucky to find such a wife! I'm interested to watch this as I'm in Brisbane and about to start my Commercial Licence too.
Well assuming flying schools are much the same at both places it comes down to best weather ( and Adelaide wins hands down there as there wouldn't be more than 10 days a year you couldn't go flying at some point in the day) and living costs during training ( I suspect Adelaide would come out in front there too).
