Catfood callsign

Whats the story with Tiger using the callsign GoCat XXX. I keep thinking of the dry catfood that was/still is on the market. It des sound silly on the radio.

Why dont they just use Tiger XXX

I'd like to know why their flight numbers are Gocat 7XXX - seems an unecessarily high number and they seem to stuff it fairly regularly.

Good timing on this post. I've been flying the last few weeks and hearing go-cat callsigns, however I assumed it must have been a NZ airline as the only voices I've been hearing (apart from those in my head) were with a NZ accent. Perhaps a few Kiwi's have got drivers jobs.

No, that's GO-KITT, an executive jet that flies itself, but still needs David Hasselloff to operate the VHF.

Army dudes are currently using "Tiger" callsigns for their new toy. Heard one taking off from CBR last week. Not sure if that will continue once they're introduced into operational Sqns.
