No need to sticky it Angry Rabbit, (Crosshair, get it!, erm, sorry), just keep it alive by posting in it, it returns to the top of the page with every new posting.
I get sick of all the stickies at the top of every page.
Cheers,

Plan to fly in before lunch. Airstrip details here. Airstrip pic here.
Enjoy Brown Bros Epicurian lunch - a number of small courses each with a matching glass of wine - superb menu.
Then retire to Milawa Lodge Motel for a snooze (they will pickup from airstrip - but its only an 800m walk). Enjoy a beer and evening meal at the the Milawa Hotel. There is also premium (expensive) accommodation at Lindenwarrah, almost opposite Brown Bros. I have not stayed there.
Milawa is about 2 1/2 hours flying time from YSCN in a 172. Make a wee/fuel stop in Wagga if required. There is no Avgas at Milawa.

The Blue Wren at Mudgee is a good one - wander through the vineyards to the restaurant, stagger back *hic* to the airport afterwards.
That's just walking distance - there are plenty of great wineries, eateries and Pubs in Mudgee.
...Oh and there are frozen pies for $2 in the Aero Club freezer if gourmet food isn't your thing

Geez, this is so far one of the best threads on Pprune!!
Why didn't I think of it....
and while we're at it, why limit ourselves to the eastern states.
the mrs is not going to be able to keep me down for much longer! (I'm on two week enforced grounding due to expecting mini sprocket)

Mungo Lodge
I've been a frequent visitor Mungo Lodge as its 3.5 hrs (182) from Syd and really gives your pax a feeling of the outback from the city. Its also about 30 min flying from Mildura so I've often taken them there for the day for wine tasting etc (great stuff). The other good point is that you can taxi right up to the accomodation, decent resteraunt and more importantly a well stocked bar. I think the web site is www.mungolodge.com, they are closed at the moment until April.

something I meant to do last time...
Old Bar is neat little strip on the coast just south of Taree. It's 200m from the beach. Anyone been there/got any info?
I think that might be a pretty cool destination for those keen on fishing.

Lots of useful info on this thread so far - maybe worth expanding on it further.
I have a loose plan to go for a bit of a wander next week...
The current plan is something like:-
YSCN-YBCV-YLRE
YLRE-YEML-YBMC
YBMC-YYNG
YYNG-YCBN-YCBG-YSRN
YSRN-YSCN
Any suggestions on places to stay/visit/see within this area?
The only two fixed points on the plan are YBMC and YYNG, everything else is open to suggestions.

the glass
Nice AC, fly them both regularly. Love g1000's, even got little lightening bolts to appear on the storm scope a few weeks back. Sounds like a good trip you've planned.

YMAY, is indeed north of the border kicka. CASA thinks we're part of Melbourne (YMAY), but the NSW government begs to differ.
(I'll ignore the RTFQ comment for now.)

YMAY?
Why, that would be me and I am definitely in NSW. On the other side of the creek lies Wodonga In Victoria which is about 30 Mi north mod Milawa.
