They operate training out of Caloundra, specialising in CIR work. Greg McGovern is CFI/CP. Will NOT tolerate operating outside the rules. You are far better working for this type of outfit than some cowboy who'll tell you, "If you don't want the job there's plenty of other people who do."
Company operates Cherokee 6's, Barons, Navajos, Chieftains and 414's out of Townsville, Mt Isa and Emerald.

Mate I worked there over 12 months ago and it was the biggest circus I've ever seen. As 3wood mentioned about the pay, very correct, and if you didnt call the boss for it then you would'nt get it.

Not to mention they really weren't interested i chasing the business either. It was all up to you to find.

But, if you need some twin time to tie you over until you find the next twin job then its a good start.

And the Isa QAS house is just across the road from the irish club... so there you go, thats a bonus.

What about the training side?

Is there really a good chance of getting a twin job with them should you do your MECIR there, providing you impress of course?

Job opportunity at QAS

You will definitely be in a better position having done your CIR with the company you are seking employment with. They will treat this as a kind of pre-employment assessment and if you are trained by the company's CFI/CP they know you are following their preferred operational methods. You will find this true for any operator who also conducts their own training, however be aware another operator will also prefer you trained with them. Also if you don't put in the effort during your course...
QAS does have a good reputation in their standard of IF training and the CFI should have testing approval very shortly. (Yay! Another renewal possibility for those in the area waiting in queue!)
You start on the 6's and move up from there. Look at it as a probation period. Most guys progress within 6 months if they don't have twin already, but opportunity may mean earlier progression.
