Hi All,
For all those lucky enough to get called for interview, How did you get on? What sort of questions did they ask? How did you get on with the "wombat" test. Any good points or tips?(Hopefully I might get called next time!!
Regards
TOJP.

The "wombat test" is a computer generated test program that Rex is using to screen its cadets. Does any body has any advice or tips to beat this program?
Any advice/questions might help me for next time!!!

Does it ask things like this?:
"Mario is thinking about getting his pilot licence. He has 2 options. One of them is to take out a loan and do his pilot licence the traditional way, which would see him flying a jet on $100k+ in less than 5 years, and therefore his loan paid off in a lot less time.
The second option is a rip off offered by a local regional airline, which would see him stupidly agree to a 5-6 year $80,000 bond which he has to pay off during that time, on his measly $41,000 a year job, flying a turbo-prop from the right hand seat the entire time.
Which option is the best for Mario?"

As I recall there is a practise Wombat on the 'Net.
It is a hand-eye co-ordination exercise if I remember correctly.
Have fun.
PS. There must be better ways to test students than with this!

REX Cadetship
I still havent heard anything back yet either... I know they were only taking 20 people this time round, and are taking 20 more in 3 months time or so.
I agree its a stupid loan, that will take forever to pay back, but for those who don't have the money and desperately want to fly, it's one of the only options!
Couldnt believe it though, when I checked the REX agreement, to find the salary was $41-$42,000 p/a... Whats with that?
For those that did hear back, what did the interview and testing involve??? How were they testing the 'merit' to receive a scholarship?
K

short flights long nights

Haven't you been following this Kirsty? The reason that REX has to try and suck people in with this "cadetship" , is that they cant keep people, because of the poor Terms and Conditions they offer.
Buyer Beware.
