Cairns ATC Xmas Party

What a bummer...Skytrans/Airlines PNG Xmas party is on the same day...I think someone didn't check the sequence...

Well at least Skytrans are next door, we can all blend in to one big, happy, family.

For those that haven't heard, the General Manager of ATC, Ken McLean, and the manager from BN responsible for CS will be both be attending the evening.

Perfect opportunity to hear it from the horse's mouth as to what is happening, and why!

For all those in Cairns or that can make it here, the Annual ATC Xmas Party will be held on the 30th November, from 1730 at the North Queensland Aero Club.

As per previous years we will be providing beer (six kegs), wine and soft drinks.

Blimey !!! Business must really have improved since I started it 14 years ago if chocolate sales from the tower fridge can support a free for all Chrissie party.

Any idea where Dave Tempest (ATC) ended up after cairns? Mind you it was a while ago and Bush pilots had got rid of the DC3s...1985/86! good friday bashes in the aero club after landing the Raw Prawn(commander840).

Dave spent a bit of time in Rocky after Cairns and then I think he went to Brisbane.

Dress code ???
When I worked in Cairns Tower the work dress was often footy shorts, t-shirt and thongs so if the party is "casual" I guess it will be "jockstrap and thongs"
