Here is a tip I should have learned from my brother, his wisdom was developed far to late for me.

With women, start out how you want to finnish up!

Spoken like the unmarried man with realistic expectations.
No one should be thinking about getting married - and supporting someone else - while they expect to be earning GA wages! Your spouse doesnt need to earn more than you - your spouse just needs to be the sort of person who earns money at all, instead of freeloading off struggling pilots.
