JET FLITE Training Brisbane?

Does anyone know if these people at Jet Flite are any good? They claim they can Guarantee Airline employment! Is it too good to be true?

I already have a CPL with a few hundred hours and are looking at their advanced program! Has anyone gone through them and got into a regional airline immediately after finishing training as they claim?

Apperently it is in conjunction with Mac Air ( 1 year contract)

One thing you can be sure of in the aviation industry is "If it sounds too good to be true, It invariably is!"

If you've got a CPL already why bother spending money on something you've already got? Head off into GA and within 12-8 months you'll be working for a regional.

Its never been easier. It took most 10 years to do what you can do in 18 months these days.

Well I was thinking more on the lines of doing the MECIR and endorsement on the metro with them.

I attempted the instructor rating but I am no good at doing mass briefings so stopped half way through (flying was easy) So I don't think anyone in G.A will give me a go when they find that out.

SMOBY, I reckon you'd be better getting a charter/scenic gig and doing the IR during employment possibly allowing you to claim it on tax depending on the company you are working for.

I think the macflite thing is abinitio...effects of controls onwards but don't quote me.

There are some good experiences to be had out there and the best thing is that you are virtually guaranteed a job flying something descent in a relatively short period.

Put it to you this way...i dont reminisce about my first turbine gig...rather my first 210.....(strange as it may be..)

Smell the roses. Thats my 2 cents

Yes that would be a great idea but it seems like most operators want you to have the instrument rating too. Even if you don't use it. Great idea though about being able to claim it back on tax.

Anyway I'll just take it as it comes. I still havent found a good school to do the instrument rating with so I'll hold onto my 20k until something really stands out.

IFR training

Hey Smoby;

Keep running into each other here...hmm...

I've heard great things about Johnston Aviation in Port Macquarie (NSW) for IFR. A number of guys from my course are rumoured to be heading that way after completing their course down here in Melbourne.

I'm looking to head up north and do some charter...bugger the instructor rating (if it can be avoided). I'd hate to teach some of the people from my course! no patience for people with no clues...I'd rather go out there to get some real experience flying in some amazing coutryside in a realistic commercial environment. I'm sure guys that have gone down the charter path can shed more light..

cheers
