Heard some of the senior Pearl guys are off to Easterns...
Yep sounds like a great career move to me SpiderPig.....take a $20 000 to $30 000 p.a. paycut, fork out $10 000 for a Dash endorsement and live in Sydney on Dash FO wages

Are you sure your not refering to some of the junior guys/girls or Qantas cadets?

I hear this is your job being advertised.

You might get lucky this time . A desperate German is generous German!

"Is the Paspaley Aviation group in meltdown.............?"

May not be the only part of that operation with a few problems.

Rumour has it that a virus is threatening to decimate the pearl oyster population in the NW.

Oyster flu?

Good on him (the soon departing CP that is) for giving it a go.
My hat's off to him for taking it on when he did.

The Artic / Antarctic meltdown has nothing on the Paspaley group. It tops the list by far.

Be it CP or number 1 on the list, it's beware the rush!

42 years experience within the company between 2 very senior guys who have just walked with others rumored to follow very very soon. Can't keep CP's. Senior guys abandoning ship. Industrial kaos continuing - they still don't believe there is a problem so why talk.

Good old N**k must be so glad he got the "Budget Gladiator" to save the day. Not!

How much longer before MB is given the boot and awarded another bronze medal to add to his collection?

There is life after Pearl and it is much rosier. Just a shame it took me so long to realise.

And the switch is the top one on the left.

Danger ich bin ein berliner

Not a surprise for those in the know. When it comes to aviation N**ck has more money than sense.

MB and his local CASA mates DF and GW guard their closet skeletons very closely. Their mutual survival depends on 'compatible' CPs for the interim.

Unfortunately this rules out anyone with experience, credibility or ethics.

As someone else has already said in the forum, they would certainly feel theatened!

Good luck to JG. How he put up with being a puppet on N**ck's stings for so long bets me. I wouldn't be supprised if a few guys went to Easterns, or even REX, money isn't everthing.

Well done to JG. Not a job I could ever do.

The sky is not falling in. The disgruntled old hands will always say that, but there is no need to worry about where the light switch is just yet.

I happen to think this is a fantastic company to work for and am loving every second of it.

Good old APMR

Mate, an old hand yes, disgruntled no. I am a realist and have realised that Pearl has gone from the premier GA compnay of 22 years ago to an absolute shell on the verge of cracking.

I have seen in those 22 years some very good management teams and some very bad ones. In my humble opinion you are managed by the latter.

As most would know I, as one of the pilot reps, have fought to protect pilot conditions for a number of years. Unfortunately it has been a losing battle because of the continual changes in the management structure and in recent times the dramatic turnover of pilots and loss of vast amounts of historical and operational experience.

This could have all been averted and a stable position for all could have been achieved. But unfortunately this is not the case now as the budget is now the all defining objective.

Look at what is happening in AeroPearl. Great job, great flying. Unfortunately the aircraft are always u/s due to lack of spares and extra servicing required due age. Add the additional time away from family - 150 days per year now campared to 80 days per year 10 years ago, No recogniton of qualifications. The list goes on.

If the company was so fantastic then why is this occuring? Why are experienced people leaving? Why can't they retain the services of a CP both for Pearl and AeroRescue? Why has their reputation within the aviation industry gone from being the premier GA company to one of ridicule?

Yes, you have your Kingair job in Gove and therefore maybe a little protected from reality. Look around, ask around (and I mean outside Gove) and you may be in for a rude shock. Also ask your fellow employees (outside of Gove) and once again you may be shocked. Truth always hurts mate but only if you are open to receiving it.

That's where Pearl fall down. They do not want to listen. They have not listened.

But they will when the switch is turned off.

Older, yes, wiser, even more so.

Take it for what it is worth mate, experienced advice. Not disgruntled. You can't be after 22 years.
